HomeSmart NY is New York State’s largest network of professional, unbiased, nonprofit HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agencies.

Our network of over 80 nonprofit organizations delivers trustworthy, up-to-the minute classes and one-on-one coaching that puts homebuyers fully in charge of the complex process of choosing a Realtor, selecting a home, finding the best financing, and being prepared to succeed at homeownership in the long term.

Together, we educate and advise more than 15,000 New Yorkers a year to be expert homebuyers, with the peace of mind and confidence that comes from having a trusted advisor who knows the latest homeownership tips and financial incentives. We adhere to the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling, and are supported by the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, SONYMA, and other financial industry leaders.
