HomeSmartNY Members Awarded Project Reinvest: Financial Capability Funding

On June 30, 2017, four HomeSmartNY members were awarded funding from NeighborWorks America for financial capability counseling/coaching that will help clients stabilize their finances, rebuild credit and establish savings through Project Reinvest.

The four awardees are:

Center for New York City Neighborhoods, Inc. New York, New York
Community Development Corporation of Long Island, Inc. Centereach, New York
Hudson River Housing, Inc. Poughkeepsie, New York
RUPCO, Inc. Kingston, New York

Funds were awarded to applicants with demonstrated experience in providing financial capability services to clients. Additional funds were made available to supplement selected organizations’ existing matched savings programs. A total of $31.58 million was awarded to 66 grantees through a national, competitive process.
